The Essentials We Believe
We believe God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22; Psalms 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2
2. Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death on the cross to provide for our redemption, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, present ministry of intercession for us, and His return to earth in power and glory.
Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-5; 14:10-30; Acts 1:9-11, Romans 1:3-4; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 4:14-15
3. Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit. We believe that He performs the miracle of new birth in an unbeliever and He indwells in believers enabling them to live a godly life.
John 14:16,17; 16:7-13; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galations 5:25; Ephesians 1:13, 5:18
We believe the Bible alone, and the Bible in its entirety, is the inerrant Word of God. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme and only source of truth for Christian beliefs.
Psalms 12:6, 119:105,160; Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 1:13, 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21
5. Human Beings
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but because of sin, was alienated from God. That alienation can be removed only by accepting through faith alone God’s gift of salvation, which was made possible by Christ’s death.
Genesis 1:27; Psalms 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6; 59:1-2; John 1:12, 14:6; Romans 3:23, 6:23; Galations 3:26; Ephesians 2:8-9
Our Statement Of Faith
The Abundant Life Community Church believes that the Bible alone, and the Bible in its entirety, is the inerrant Word of God, and that God is a Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each an uncreated person, one in essence, equal in power and glory.
